Tasty Tuesday ~ Sweet & Savory

I know it is only Tuesday – but I am extremely excited to add a new segment to my blog…. It will be titled Sweet & Savory! Every Saturday or Sunday I will be baking and creating delicious treats! My husband is already looking forward to weekends… I just look forward to the sweet aromas that will be coming from the kitchen and engulfing my home!:)

 This weekend I made cinnamon rolls with cream cheese glaze from scratch! I followed this recipe and it was pure awesomeness!! Here are the ingredients:

Dough:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 1/2 cups (or more) unbleached all purpose flour, divided
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons rapid-rise yeast (from 2 envelopes yeast)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Nonstick vegetable oil spray

Filling:

  • 3/4 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature

My Lovely Puggle, Lucy – loves to keep me company as I cook and manages to get powdered sugar on her nose… Gotta love her!:)

Glaze:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

YUM…..Sooooo Good!:)
